Gender at the Crossroads: Women and Culture at the Centre of a Changing Southeast Asia

International Women's Day talk about the changing roles of women in Southeast Asia

The talk by Nhung Tuyet Tran, associatre professor and Canada Research Chair in Southeast Asian History at the University of Toronto, will focus on shifts in gendered roles in connection with cultural, economic and social change in Southeast Asia, the "crossroads of the world". The talk will be held at a group show of female contemporary artists from Vietnam, Burma and Cambodia, organized by the East Gallery.
