Watercolours: The Next Step

Presented by: Royal Ontario Museum

By working at your own speed, you'll use a combination of techniques to make finished watercolour paintings.

Gaining more practice and by working at your own speed, students will use a combination of techniques to make finished watercolour paintings. Choose from a selection of source photographs supplied by the instructor of the Canadian landscape and shorelines. Instruction is by lectures, demonstrations, examples and critiques, with individual consultation how work from your own source photo as the last project. Review topics by request. This course will emphasize composition and work with an expanded colour palette. This course is for both those wanting the next step beyond ‘Painting in Watercolour: the Fundamentals’ and for those that have been painting on their own.

Instructor: Marlene Madole is an elected member and Past President of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and an award-winning artist and instructor for over 17 years. Marlene’s subjects include: heritage architecture, fruit in the orchard, the Canadian landscape and the figure.
