Classic Albums Live: The Doors' LA Woman
The greatest albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s are recreated live on stage, note for note – cut for cut.
The final Doors album to feature vocalist Jim Morrison reaffirmed the quartet’s grasp of blues-rock. The overall sound of the record is relatively stripped down but the musicianship is uniformly excellent. Jim Morrison’s voice, somewhat ragged and weather-worn, adds its fiercely unmistakable resonance. The now classic “L.A. Woman” was a fitting swan song for one of the most unique and important bands of the 60s.
