Songs of Brahms and Zemlinsky

Presented by: Canadian Opera Company

Under the direction of Liz Upchurch, young artists present a program of gems from the German lied repertoire.

Under the direction of Liz Upchurch, Head of the COC Ensemble Studio, young artists present a program of gems from the German lied repertoire, including works by Alexander Zemlinsky and his great supporter, Johannes Brahms. This concert is the perfect primer for Zemlinsky’s A Florentine Tragedy, performed by the COC this spring as part of a double bill with Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
